KOREAN MAKEUP & BEAUTY PRODUCTS: LILIES SHOP. LIOELE DOLLISH BRAND, ASIAN MAKEUP & NAIL POLISH BRANDS ONLINE.
I love Asian beauty products, especially from Korea and Japan. But if you live in the West, these brands are hard to acquire.
My solution? Lilies Shop, a Canada-based supplier of Korean makeup, wigs, contacts and more!
Lilies has an online shop, and several physical locations in Toronto and Vancouver. I went to Tinseltown one that opened a few months ago. The staff is friendly, and you can try on pretty much any product before buying.
Store manager Lily did the nail art, using Liole nail polishes. I’m a fan of the matte colors and nail art gems.
There’s a large selection of Liole skin care and makeup, in trendy shades suited for Asian skin tones. Isn’t the packaging cute?
Skin whitening products are often misunderstood. Lily explained they contain citrus ingredients (not bleach) and aim for a gentle, gradual brightening (not a Michael Jackson pastiness).
Liole’s leg shaping gel is a hot product. “Presents cool feeling that helps to relax and presents elastic on your stressed and swelled leg.” I’m sold.
A large selection of Korean circle contacts and color lenses. (“Smiling with your eyes” takes on a whole new meaning.)
The cute jewelry is only $5-20.
Lots of fashion wigs, clip in bangs, extensions and other hair accessories.
I got these face masks , with ingredients like green tea and pomegranite. Do you think Basil Farrow wants to try one?
The BB creams are popular. There’s a sunscreen line, and a collection for men.
I’m wearing a Banana Fish kitty shirt from Closet Child Tokyo, and a spiky faux-fur jacket from Lip Service.
My stylist, Isolde from Avant Garde Hair, did my color and curls.
Are you a fan of Asian makeup and skincare? What are your favorite products, and where do you get them?

JAPANESE CUTE DECORATED IPHONE CASE, GLITTER KAWAII CELLPHONES. SPARKLEBEE HELLO KITTY PHONE, REBOUNDER.
There are infinite ways to add a bit of kawaii (Japanese cuteness) to your daily life. Fashion, makeup and Scottish Fold cats come to mind. But we often overlook the item we bring everywhere — our cell phone.
Let’s chat about ways to “cute-ify” your iPhone case and home phone. I’ll also talk about my new fitness obsession, which you may not have heard of: rebounding.
Luxy Loli sent me this handmade iPhone case. It’s one of the best I’ve ever encountered (and I’ve seen some serious mobile bling in Tokyo.)
The case is an eye-catching delight of sparkles, candy colors and characters — including Hello Kitty and Stitch. It’s not heavy, and the decora has stayed in place.
Luxy Loli makes custom cell phone cases , as well as hair clips and other affordable decoden. There’s more cuteness on her Etsy store.
Uh oh. Basil Farrow spots another cat in his territory.
Behold, a Hello Kitty telephone from Sparklebee. When someone calls, the pink wand and wings light up!
The Hello Kitty phone has all the functions I need: caller ID display, memory, options for ringer volume and language. I used it to call Germany, and the reception was perfectly clear.
Can you imagine Basil answering the phone? “Ah-wahhhh…”
Sparklebee’s character family includes Paul Frank and Hello Kitty. It’s my first stop for home decor items, like messenger bags and alarm clocks.
Finally, let’s talk fitness. I never talk about it on my blog, but I’m a workout addict. Especially cardio that doesn’t hurt the joints.
That’s why I’m obsessed with my mini trampoline from Sundance Rebounders. NASA says it’s the most effective full-body workout out there, and the only one that gets the lymph fluid circulating.
Sundance gave me a 42-inch super soft, which is compact enough to store at home. You can bounce gently, for a sense of well-being, or do a variety of jumps for intensity. Rebounding is easy on the joints, and develops balance while targeting different muscles (which is why it’s eclipsed the elliptical as my favorite). If you haven’t heard of rebounders, I highly suggest you look into them, and go with a quality brand like Sundance.
Don’t forget to stretch, as Basil Farrow demonstrates!
His cardio workout consists of running through this tunnel, which my architect dad built.
Don’t forget to get a good night’s rest. Basil and I can sleep 12 hours, easily.
You can see more Scottish Fold cuteness on Basil’s Facebook and Tumblr. I also Tweet photos of him daiky on Twitter.
Would you like me to feature your product, clothing, or other item on my blog? Contact La Carmina for rates and more info. I only work with brands that fit my site’s theme.
Do you have a cool smartphone case or skin? What does it look like, and where did you get it? How about fitness: do you have a favorite workout? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
PS: Off to Wave Gotik Treffen tomorrow! Look out for the pirate.
