VIDEO CLIPS OF TOQUE DE TOKYO, JAPANESE TV DOCUMENTARY WITH ANTOINE DE CAUNES. FRENCH CANAL PLUS PROGRAM.
Tis an exciting time… in addition to bringing the NOH8 non-profit to Tokyo, I have new writing and TV jobs are in the works. (Will let you know everything soon.)
I know you’ve been itching to see the Toqué de Tokyo French TV documentary I co-hosted in Japan, with Antoine de Caunes. Finally, I’ve put up clips on my YouTube.
I was Antoine’s guide to Tokyo theme restaurants and crazy subcultures in the 90-minute TV special. I took him to an ear cleaning parlor, theme cafes (babies, cats, maids), and two wild Goth cyber fetish clubs (Tokyo Decadance and Department H). Watch me ride in a rickshaw and laugh manically with my partner in crime, Yukiro Dravarious! (The video is above and here.)
We gave Antoine a taste of our psychedelic clubbing world. (Yukiro is a demented Jem and the Holograms.)
It’s fun to have my friends involved in the TV shoots. G-suS and Count de Sang gave him a bite of Tokyo Decadance’s nightlife.
On my list of places to visit: the Drop Dead Festival for Gothic Punk and Weird Wave music/culture. The last one was in Lithuania, of all places.
Unzipped pants and nipple tape… what more do you need in a boy?
Here are links to all the BEHIND-THE-SCENES PHOTOS from the Tokyo TV shoot:

What do you think of my Toque de Tokyo TV clips? Were you mesmerized or petrified by any of the places we visited?

NOH8 CAMPAIGN IS COMING TO TOKYO, JAPAN! WE’RE HELPING TO BRING NOH8 CHARITY WORLDWIDE, FOR THE FIRST TIME.
At last, we can unveil huge news! This year, Sebastiano and I are committed to making a difference. In Los Angeles, we did a photoshoot for NOH8 — a non-profit campaign against inequality that uses striking photos and interactive media to spread the message.
We feel so strongly about the message, and clicked with the founders as soon as we met. And now, we’re helping to take the NOH8 Campaign worldwide, for the very first time… to Tokyo, Japan!
Founders Jeff Parshley and Adam Bouska have taken tens of thousands of photos (people with duct tape over their mouths and NOH8 on their cheeks) to symbolize how voices are silenced by unequal laws. NOH8 began as a protest of the Prop 8 ban on gay marriage in California, and blew up into a viral phenomenon.
The message of No Hate is that all individuals should be treated with love and respect, no matter their…
– Gender
– Sexual orientation
– Race and nationality
– Economic and social status
– Political stance
NOH8 has held photoshoots all over the US, with hundreds of supporters lining up. However, the campaign has never ventured out of the country… until now. Seba and I (and our amazing intern-pirates) have been working like mad to help arrange NOH8’s Tokyo trip. We’ll all be in Japan soon, and hope you can help us support the cause!
Many celebrities have taken part in the campaign, including: Paris Hilton, Adam Lambert, Tori Spelling, Ashlee Simpson, Gene Simmons, Kim Kardashian, Cindy McCain, Kat von D. You can see all the “familiar face” photos here and here (I am on this page!)
Much more info to come, so please check back on my blog and social networks for announcements. We’re always looking for more supporters (especially press, promotion and accommodations in Tokyo); contact me if you wish to help. Seba and I so excited… here’s to NOH8 in Tokyo, and worldwide!
