La Carmina is a professional Japan & alt fashion/subcultures blogger, travel TV host & arranger, trend consultant, author of 3 books (Penguin USA and Random House), and journalist for CNN, Business Insider and Huffington Post / AOL.
Her popular blog on Tokyo underground culture/food/fashion has been featured in major publications (NY Times, Cosmopolitan, Vogue, LA Times). She contributes articles on Asia travel, pop culture and fashion for CNN, Business Insider, and AOL / Huff Post. Her books include Cute Yummy Time (Penguin Books: about decorating food to look adorable) and Crazy, Wacky Theme Restaurants: Tokyo (Random House: maid cafes, cat cafes, vampire and ninja restaurants). La Carmina is a graduate of Columbia University and Yale Law School.
La Carmina has appeared on The Today Show, The Doctors, and Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern for Travel Channel, which airs in 75 countries. NHK Japan filmed two documentaries about her work. La Carmina hosts, writes, arranges and field produces a "Coolhunting America" travel TV show for Huffington Post / AOL. She and her professional filmmakers shoot a travel video series internationally; she wrote and hosted episodes in Berlin, Budapest, Prague, Miami, Maldives, Dubai, Hong Kong, Maui and more.

Naomi Rubin
Naomi is a Japanese-English translator with taste for fine food fashion, and adventure. Her fluent Japanese ability and expert knowledge of jargon surrounding Japanese subcultures allow her to negotiate travel and shooting all over Tokyo (including fashion shows, conventions, theme parks and restaurants). She has translated, written, and designed on 11 published titles including four volumes of the award winning “Kanji de Manga” Japanese language learning series and has three years of experience doing business translation and interpretation in the Japanese publishing industry. She will even don costumes of her translated characters for conventions and on-screen promotions.
Naomi has been active in Tokyo’s art scene as a coordinator of Dr. Sketchy’s Tokyo life drawing class and is currently a reporter and translator for BAPS Japon, a Japanese burlesque and performance-art web portal. She is also a part time Japan correspondent for the popular video-game news blog, infendo.com.
