H.NAOTO 2008 FALL/WINTER SHOW AT JAPAN FASHION WEEK IN TOKYO.
Yesterday, at 5pm, h.NAOTO presented his 2008 Autumn/Winter Fashion Show at the Laforet Museum Roppongi. His collection was one of the most buzzed for Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo. I posted photos of his previous collection here. This year’s presentation consisted only of nine pieces… but wow!
You can see photos of other Japan Fashion Week designer collections here – but other than Né-net, nothing comes close to the Visual/Gothic phenomenon that is Hirooka Naoto. I’ll have Committee commentary and closeups of h.NAOTO’s latest collection up ASAP. Until then, what are your two cents?

TRASH AND VAUDEVILLE: SPIKY GOTH PUNK BOOTS BY TRIPP NYC.
I felt an unbearable urge to buy boots, so I went to Trash and Vaudeville, New York’s seminal Goth and punk store. The top level holds asymmetrical pinstriped jackets and corseted dresses for the more badass Lolitas. Down below is shoe heaven. Thigh high boots, Mary Janes, KISS platforms, wing-tips… and these.
Spiky ankle boots: Tripp NYC, “Deadly” style. Rubber sole, polyurethane material.
Tripp NYC’s range of studded footwear is phenomenal (above). The brand also makes quality punk/Goth gear that can be crafted into a Lolita ensemble. I tried on a tartan button-down shirt with studded, hanging straps; it would look great with a bell-skirt. Punk Lolitas, Gosuroris, Kodonas… once you’ve been to Trash and Vaudeville, there’s no going back to Payless Shoes!
