Warning: nightcrawl alert! The day after New Year’s Eve, Sebastiano and I are hosting a party at LA’s spookiest nightclub, Bar Sinister in Hollywood.
Two indie-alternative bands are performing that night: Julien-K and The Dreaming. There will be fetish playroom stations, Goth EBM Industrial deejays, and copious amounts of absinthe… who’s ready to join us??

PRICE: $16.50 advance / $20 at the door / $5 off with a MySpace flyer. Bring your receipt and ID (18+).

Now, what should you wear to our Goth Alternative party? Something dark and space-alien always works. In Osaka, I visited Cutie Frash, a Japanese brand that combines traditional Japanese garment forms with cyber futuristic materials and details.
The designs are intricate and intriguingly conceptualized.
I wore an Ozz On purple dress for the Australian travel TV show I hosted — a similar cyber-futuristic Japanese brand.
As I mentioned in the past, Osaka’s alt fashion stores are spread throughout Shinsaibashi. There’s no Closet Child (secondhand heaven), but I stumbled upon a small shop for used Lolita Gothic clothing, near Cutie Frash in Americamura.
Also nearby: Algonquins. The pink and black diamond is unmistakable.

Oh man…this kind of bums me out knowing I won’t be able to make it. What even bums me out even more is that 2 of my friends that live in L.A are spending New Years out of the state & out of the country.
However I certainly wish you a damn fun sinister party.
It was pretty interesting and amusing reading this article considering I was listening “Koi no Mega Lover” by Maximum the Hormone…and it just totally got me in the party mood…until I realized I really can’t go. ಥ_ಥ
