How to Keep Colored & Dyed Hair Healthy: Qwiki video. Karmin G3 Salon Pro Flat Iron, Tourmaline Ceramic Straightener Review.
Hello, new hair color… raspberry and apricot! My super-stylist, Isolde, put in layers of Joico K-Pak Color Intensity. Parts are highlighted with bleach, and my natural black remains underneath.
For a pin-up style like this, you absolutely need a professional flat iron like Karmin G3 Salon Pro. I tested one from Beauty Stop Online, and the results are notably better.
A flat iron is one of the most versatile tools because it can shape, straighten and curl.
(I’m wearing a panda dress gifted by Bros Products, and zombie hair clips from Kreepsville 666.)
The Karmin G3 Salon Pro comes in a Gothic Rococo box and zip-up case. Basil Farrow sniffs it out.
Why is this a pro iron? It’s made with pure tourmaline ceramic plates, the best on the market. Tourmaline heats fast and evenly, and adds negative ions for smooth, sleek hair.
My hair requires high heat, so I was happy that the Karmin dials up to 460 F. The microchip temperature control maintains consistency and prevents damage.
Your hair is like Humpty Dumpty: once it’s damaged, you can’t put it together again. Especially for those with colored hair, I say invest in a quality hair iron with pure tourmaline, like the Karmin G3 Salon. You can find more pro haircare, nail and makeup products on Beauty Stop Online.
PS: People always ask me, “how do you keep your hair in good condition, when you always bleach and color it?” I explain in a Qwiki video: genetics, professional hair stylist, high-quality hair tools, and not over-washing. Watch my presentation above and on Qwiki.
I leave you with my Scottish Fold cat, Basil Farrow, in a sombrero. Ole!
Do you use a hair straightener or flat iron? What are your tips for healthy hair? My kitty invites you to share them in the comments!

So cute! Stylin’ in your sombrero!!! I love it!!! Love your Mom’s hair too! VERY B-52’s!!!
loved the video on how to
care for colored hair. do you use heat like your flattening iron in
between shampoos? Also, where can I get a straightener like yours??
Between washes, yeah. My hair is naturally straight so I usually don’t use any tools on it unless I’m styling it for an occasion. For day to day, I don’t iron it.
hi mrs. carmina i see you in a tv show and i want to be your frend on twitter becos i live so far i you my twtt answerme tanks
oh how nice!
cooooooool :)
I’ve been curious about
trying a flat iron, but never used one- my hair is very fine and wavy,
with some spirals around the edges, and it doesn’t work for all styles,
especially Japanese hairdressing. *bookmarks link*
Hey thx for the info La Carmina! I use a Babyliss PRO TT Tourmaline 5000 to dry. Then a Hot Tools 430 degree flat iron. Since getting these tools and using Kerastase Oleo Relax I don’t need to relax my naturally curly hair any longer. I had a Wella Mask done last visit to my salon. I made it Red with Blonde Highlights! Next time I am at beauty supply store I will look for Karmin G3! I hope to meet up with you someday soon! ^_^
yay!!
and i whant to nowk evrytingh of your culture i fell you are agret person an a grate host
arigato!
Sulfate free shampoos and conditioners are my favorite. As an extra bonus you don’t have to use as much to get your hair clean and soft so they last a lot longer!
Recently I found this great Moroccan argan oil conditioner that seems to be relaxing the kinks in my hair. It’s naturally wavy in a bad sort of way; chunks of hair sticking out in all directions @_@ I pair it with a sulfate free shampoo from L’oreal and its a much more manageable wavy now without looking dingy or weighted down.
I think everyone should invest in sulfate free and natural oil shampoos/conditioners. They’re only a couple dollars more in most cases but they’re a hundred times better ^^
I’m a HUGE fan of Moroccan hair oil, and so is Seby! Funny how we all like the same product.
I have to say I’m hopelessly in love with it now. I only wish I’d tried it sooner!
Yeah!
I’m not sure I could survive for a week without washing my hair! It feels grotty and my scalp gets itchy if I have to go for more than two days . . .
Always fabulous dear!
Dry Shampoo is a gift from the heavens!
It allows you to add days between washes without feeling greasy, and gives
great texture when you’re teasing or shaping the hair while styling. By far my
favorite hair product. Best of all, it’s super cheap and available anywhere.
Love your fearless style and fierce kittycat!
Ooh yes it’s a great one! :3 Love!
I love your new hair color!!< I use a hair straightener the brand is Remington I use it a lot and so far my hair is fine hehe I use hair treatment , try not to bleach my hair to often and wash my hair
with cold water and that's the only thing I do, I have dye my hair a lot, maybe I should try to use more hair care products haha
Ooh that is a good tip – I also use very cold water when my stylist is dying it, so it stays in better. xo
So cute!!
i love it!!!
Ohh…Lovely cat)
I love using Tea Tree Oil shampoo and conditioners…I’ve found my hair grows more quickly, but it also looks shiny and healthier than with any other shampoos I’ve used, not to mention it smells really good. Also, recently Tresemme came out with a line to help with split ends and I use that about once every two weeks. It really seems to help, although it does leave your hair dry looking until you can wash your hair again.
My big hair tip is if you dye hair yourself or if you get it done at a salon, put a leave-in conditioner, or just a cheap one like Suave or something, on your hair overnight and just wash it out in the morning. It can really help prevent some damage that way. ^^
Nice! Yes I love natural products like that, I think they create the best results
daww basil! haha! in the first picture, from the thumbnail on facebook i thought you were straightening your eyelashes! i was like “oh dear god, what is la carmina doing now!” LOL >.<
Hahahahhhaah!!
Lovely new haircolour!
I try usually to avoid using straighteners/hairdryers as they dry out my hair but I love the messy hair look anyway XD
I also avoid processing my hair as much as I can. Natural has its perks!
Thankyou for this! Did not know about the hair straightener bit and will probably invest in the Karmin flat iron as I was hoping to get extensions soon and I know they are very delicate! (plus the high heat I think will work well for sealing my dreadfalls :3 )
As for your gentics and going to a professional- I totally agree and this cannot be stressed enough!! I found out that my hair does NOT take well to bleaching or coloring, and so going to a professional is the only way to go, as the color and bleach need to sit longer- which can be very dangerous. I’ve had various hairdressers and they are always checking my hair every 5 seconds to make sure its taking and it wont damage my hair. So ladies, PLEASE Follow her tips!
Last but not least, Basil is so cute with a sombrero! ^_^
<3 I know too many young people who bleach their own hair, and damage the whole thing… yes, pro is best! I really like this iron, I think it would be great for your extensions.
love the hair!
Dude I’m here struggling with my kabuki lion wig hair at the time you post you gorgeous hair, I’m sad :( … nahhh jk love your hair ♥
I love the vibrancy of your hair color here, so cute!
beauty carmina!
Cute overload! I won’t be able to match your adorableness tomorrow!
Oh noes don’t straighten your hair basel!
I’m so envious of your hair!! I’m getting a cut and color for school, and I so wish I could pull off your gorgeous color, but I don’t have that kind of gothic beauty, so I’m going for a suicide blonde bob. I think I’m going to kill my hair, because it’s been dyed and bleached various times and now I’m going to platinum, so does anybody have any good shampoo or hair product recommendations so that my hair doesn’t die (again)?
Thanks dear! Hmm, my stylist and I like Schwarzkopf but sometimes it depends on your hair.. samples can help you to choose. Your hair salon may have samples that you can try!
Omg ur so adorable
haha thanks!
