Liz Lisa: sweet, girly, cute clothing! Japanese girls dresses, Shibuya kawaii gyaru fashion boutique in Hong Kong.
Romantic, girly and gyaru — that’s the concept of Japanese fashion label Liz Lisa. The brand is a favorite among Shibuya girls, and growing in popularity all over Asia.
Here are photos from the LizLisa boutique in Sogo department store, Hong Kong.
One of the many benefits of shopping in Hong Kong is that prices are lower than in Tokyo (even though Liz Lisa’s a Japanese brand!)
If you aren’t anywhere close to Asia, you can still get the look above. Marc Jacobs makes a similar black and white polka dot blouse. I found a short black skirt with a Gothic print, to add a bit of spookiness.
Liz Lisa’s clothes are a bit frilly for my taste, but there are a few choice pieces I’ve incorporated into my wardrobe. I like the look of a sleeveless white lace dress. Those with girlier inclinations might like this white dress with a little pink bow around the waist. You can top it off with a ribbon sun hat with a fold-up brim.
I avoided the pink stuff, but bought the nude ankle boots with faux fur (bottom left). They’re similar to these NYLA doll boots, and about the same price.
Liz Lisa’s nude and white sweater drapes in a flattering way. Here’s a similar wide-sleeved striped sweater.
Alas, these ribbon Mary Janes were not in my size! (The closest shoes I’ve seen to these are Christian Dior’s pumps with a bow on top.)
Heart shaped purses never go out of style. There’s a near-identical pink purse by Vivienne Westwood, and a nude and white version by Betsey Johnson.
Quite a few designers make cute pink bags with bows, including: Nanette Lepore, Be-Angeled, Moschino, and Valentino.
Do you like Liz Lisa? Girly-cute gyaru style? Which of the photographed designs would you wear?
Outfit photos, where I’m wearing the white lace dress and ankle boots, coming soon! Catch previews on my Instagram (lacarmina) and Twitter.

Hysan Place Hong Kong shopping center, Causeway Bay department stores & malls: Nanette Lepore, Valentino.
How’s your Christmas shopping going? Need inspiration?
Hopefully, these displays from Hong Kong’s Hysan Place might help. This shopping center recently opened in Causeway Bay, and sells everything from cute makeup to romantic dresses.

In the first photo, I’m wearing RED Valentino in Florence, during Luisaviaroma Firenze4Ever (more photos from the shoot). I was delighted to see the store in Hong Kong’s Hysan Place.
Ruffles, bows and pink are the themes of the current line. I dream of RED Valentino’s Organza Ruffled Tulle Dress and Micro Leopard-Print Dress.
The long sleeve Bow Belt Dress keeps you warm and fashionable in the winter.
I’m a fan of RED Valentino’s purses, especially the pink tote topped with a bow. The Frill hem skirt can match a variety of outfits.
Next door, I spotted the Nanette Lepore boutique. I wore her clothing during my Hawaii travel video shoot.
My current favorite is Nanette’s Fantasy Leather Dress, which has a Gothic and fetish feel. In the photo, you can see her orange Romantic Skies beaded satin dress.
Moving on from dream dresses… to small gifts. You can pick up cute accessories, like the ones displayed above, for under $50.
Kenneth Cole has a grapefruit pink clutch similar to the one in the photo. I also found a British Union Jack bag, heart-shaped necklace, and Union Jack rhinestone jewelry.
Hong Kong’s Giordano store did a special collaboration with Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. At about $20, a Jack Skellington t-shirt is a great gift.
Girls can choose between Jack and Sally, Jack and moon, and a suit jacket print. Boys can wear the skull-face in black or white.
The Sugarman store is all about colorful, cute hoodies. For less than $30, get the look from Sanrio. Here’s a Hello Kitty hoodie, and one with a cat-eared hood.
I think my cat would love this pillow! How about a cat with eyeglasses pillow, or kitten pillow cover?
Le Bunny Bleu’s slip-on flat shoes are a stylish and practical present.
These Paige needlepoint shoes have different creatures on them, include rabbits. I adore Marc Jacob’s mouse ballerina flats, especially the studded slip-ons.
Barbie looks great in these spectacles. Matthew Williamson and Alexander McQueen make similar pink sunglasses (I’d like a pair!).
What type of holiday gifts are you picking up this year? What’s on your wishlist?
