† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
Well, I met the world of Lolita through visual kei music style, which I like a lot, and of course by the wonderful Mana-sama style. Because of the limited knowledge of this culture in my country, I had to create my own clothes and accessories, however I am very proud of it =).
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
I find attractive the fact that you can display a dark and sinister side while still being elegant or beautiful, it’s wonderful.
† What are your favorite Gothic Lolita clothing brands?
Victorian Maiden, Mary Magdalene, Algonquins, Moi-meme-Moitie, h.Naoto, Putumayo.
† Any other comments (inspiration, tips, favorites)?
I’m very proud to belong to the world of Lolita, creating it from my own hands!
Film of the Week #39: An Education (dir. Lone Scherfig, screenplay by Nick Hornby). I’m not a big movie-goer — new releases rarely push my buttons — but I just got back from this film and enjoyed it quite a lot. It’s a well-written, well-acted story of a British schoolgirl swept off feet by an older sophisticate who is not all he seems to be. Between boring pre-Oxford studies and a glitzy adult world — which path should she choose? (In an upcoming Reader Question, I’ll talk about nailing both.) Catch An Education while it’s still in theaters; the 1960s fashion and hair are the cherry on top.
Hooray for a new Basil Farrow video: Scottish Fold cats just want to have fun! I found a Hexbug micro-robotic insect toy in a store on Melrose, and simply had to buy it for my flop-eared teddy bear. As you can see, he loves to swat and pounce on the creepy-crawly. Basil Farrow also goes crazy for a squeaky mouse on a string, and he doesn’t flinch when I try to strangle him. Hi Carmina, Basil kun wa sugoku kawaii neko chan desu. Did you find him in Japan or import him into the country? He is the first Scottish Fold I have seem “live”, only pictures before. He's SO cute you just want to choke him don't you? 8-) I have an old Siamese, and a Tortoise Shell both found wild and abandoned by there mothers on Maui though ten years apart. Cats sure are precious. Thank you for sharing Basil Farrow with us. Where does his name come from? 5 stars for Basil. 8-) Bye.

Maoo maooo! He used to belong to Mia Farrow haha and she got him from a Connecticut breeder. Search “about Basil Farrow” and you can find out more. His aunt Malone named him Basil! :)

Basil is so cute! It's so funny how in the beginning he seems a bit uninterested in the Hexbug and then he starts getting into it and then sits on it XD
That's so nice that he just sits there and you can pet him all you want like that…. I can't do that to my cats… if I start petting them they get up and start circling around me and rubbing against me and try to get on me lol Sometimes I just want to quietly pet them, heh.
Does Basil ever randomly starts meowing at night?
Scottish Fold cats look so cute… too bad I can't get another cat >_>
Ha, you can do anything to Basil Farrow and he won't move! He comes when you call his name, and he demands to be cuddled and held… I'll shoot a video of him being carried around.
