PURICUTE PURIKURA STICKER PICTURES, FARROW FAMILY PHOTO & WAYS TO KEEP EYES HEALTHY. NEW SILICONE CONTACT LENSES.

Puricute.com, puricute purikura, Japanese sticker picture frames, portrait borders, cute kawaii decorations for photos, Tokyo sticker pictures, Mia Farrow DVD cover

Today’s blog post veers in the direction of “random”…
† How much do we love purikura, or Japanese sticker pictures? In Tokyo, the machines offer endless options for backgrounds and decorations (the ones below are from my recent trips). You can achieve the same effect on Puricute.com — simply upload a photo and smother it with kawaii, like I did above!
† Note that it’s a portrait of three generations… Grandma (Mia Farrow), mommy (La Carmina), and baby (Basil Farrow)!

Tokyo Japan puricute purikura, Japanese sticker picture frames, borders, cute kawaii decorations for photos, sticker pictures, print-outs of colorful sticker portraits

Finally (I warned you this was a random post), I got new silicone contact lenses and what a difference! We too often neglect our eye health, so here are some tips for staying sharp:

† I highly recommend checking out latest contact lens technology. I switched to Coopervision Silicone Hydrogel monthly disposables, which are highly breathable (allowing more oxygen to come in) and made from a soft, flexible material (a relief for those with higher prescriptions).
† I saw a poster of damaged eyes and it freaked me out. Most of the disfigurations could have been avoided if only the wearer changed his contact fluid, threw out old lenses, and didn’t sleep with them on. Don’t make the same mistakes!
† Have you had an eye checkup in the past year or two? You may not notice a change in vision, but doctors will catch retinal tears and other problems before it’s too late.
† Take preventative action! Use proper lighting, wear sunglasses, and do daily eye exercises such as these.

What are your experiences with contact lenses and icky eyesight? Have you purikura-ed any photos on Puricute.com? Post the links to your photos in the comments — I’d love to see your customizations!

Yay Puricute! I actually just did a post on the website a couple of days ago – the people I'm with never want to use the machines, and they're pretty expensive in New Zealand.
There's an image I puricuted on my blog post: http://rainbowstripe.wordpress.com/2009/09/03/p

I'm blind as a bat so I get annual eye check ups anyway T__T

And yeah, first time I got contact lenses my optometrist warned me about what would happen if I don't take good care of em (basically, my eyes would be even more screwed than they are now).

Scared me to obedience let me tell you that.

Ooh and I used to be obsessed with purikura back in high school. There's a place here in Sydney where about half the floor is dedicated to just these booths <3

I think they’re taking over every major city, like Godzilla…. :P

How much are they in Sydney? In Tokyo, they’re only $2-3 for all sorts of fancy options.

Haha that’s a good way of describing it!

Back in high school they were around $8, and $15 would get you the good kind. These days the cheapest is $15… expensive -__-

I don't have any eye problems (that I know of!) and I've never had to wear contacts… but I would like to be able to wear lenses for different colors and effects and stuff… i'm afraid of accidentally hurting my eyes though :x

Hmm while we're on the subject of contact lenses, I was wondering if you knew anything about colored lenses for cosmetic purposes, such as those worn by VKers, Goths, Harajuku people, etc., as in, what's the good stuff and where does one find it? Unfortunately, like Fluffy Conti, I have nothing to say on the subject of lenses for corrective vision since I have perfect vision!

Yes, eyes needs to be treated like jewels !
I've wore monthly contacts but I've never wore them more than a month ! It's dangerous !
People often don't realize how much it can hurt them !
You're right to write about it ^o^

Gosh darn all of you with your perfect eyesight! >_<''

I've never paid attention to decorative contacts because it's impossible for me to wear them (unless with glasses…). I sometimes see ads for them in Japanese fashion & VK magazines, but I can't recall the brand name. I asked Yukiro since he has a magnificent collection, including X-pupils over white:

I bought these contacts at secreteyes.org, they are supposed to make your eyes look bigger, and they look really pretty, but yeah, they have made me have some eye problems, due to the fact that the contacts are too big and each time I blink it hurts and yeah, I love them, but could you see if they are really worth wearing, I have seen people with damaged eyes, well pics and It's frightening, I hope I'm not one of the next ones.

Puricute looks adorable! I need to take some new picture now so I can have some fun… ^0^

If you suffer from dry eyes, flaxseed oil is a great natural cure. (:
Just take 2 capsules of it everyday every day.
