CHILDHOOD DRAWINGS OF HELLO KITTY & CUTE JAPANESE CAT CHARACTERS. KID’S SANRIO SKETCHES, COLORED PENCIL PICTURES.

CHILDHOOD DRAWINGS OF HELLO KITTY & CUTE JAPANESE CAT CHARACTERS. KID'S SANRIO SKETCHES, COLORED PENCIL PICTURES.

Hello Kitty loomed large in my formative years. In the late 80s and early 90s, I clung to her plush figure and rendered her likeness with my colored pencils. Who but Hello Kitty would gush, “I love going to school!!!”?

CHILDHOOD DRAWINGS OF HELLO KITTY & CUTE JAPANESE CAT CHARACTERS. KID'S SANRIO SKETCHES, COLORED PENCIL PICTURES, weird funny surreal child drawing of cats and elephants.

Have you ever looked at your old drawings? I am baffled at my childhood imagination. Around age ten, I drew Kitty and her twin sister Mimmy in pleated dresses and bracelets… next to a disturbing-looking white cat in a princess gown… a mother and baby elephant in a cage… and a fragment of a smiling sun. Now that’s Surrealism.

lol drawings by child, surreal children's drawing, CHILDHOOD DRAWINGS OF HELLO KITTY & CUTE JAPANESE CAT CHARACTERS. KID'S SANRIO SKETCHES, COLORED PENCIL PICTURES.

Then there’s my cut-out of cats at a skating party. The third one looks like he wants to claw someone. Maybe he’s angry because he isn’t wearing any pants?

Hahaha, I am laughing so hard at my old sketches! I’ll share more of these soon. Add me on Twitter for random Hello Kitty tweets… such as Thai police being forced to wear Kitty armbands and a new Kitty PC…

Ahaha! Those are great. My mom put some of my really old drawings in my scrapbook, and some of my friends and I were going though them a while ago. We found this really disturbing cow with no head. XD

Haha, I used to make comic books based on Super Mario, so it was all the Super Mario characters' spawn on adventures… Like King Koopa's kid would eat all the cookies and get scolded or something. And usually there were a lot of forced weddings involved in my comics as well, I was very focused on forced weddings. I once dreamt I would be forced to marry Dracula's son (goth tendencies at a young age, haha) Sometimes I wonder why my parents didn't think I was a disturbed kid.

Naughty Carmina, drawing cats with no pants! :P Maybe the others are bullying him, that's why they look so happy…

Wow now I remember my childhood drawings days. My mom would talk about how I used to draw elephants. I'm not even a fan of it hahaha!! And usually I would color on my coloring books very early in the morning. Hahaha what a weirdo kid I was. And I actually miss it. Thanks a lot for bringing this topic up. It just made my day happy.

    PS,

I commented on one of your topics before. I think about hair color. I forgot if the name I placed was BloodyBFly. Hahaha!

Are you kidding??? I also wrote Super Mario stories! I think I have some photos of one, which I typed on the computer in 1994 or so. It was about the Mario gang at a golf tournament.

Awww but Basil Farrow doesn’t wear any pants either… ;)

Whoa, I did not notice the cleavage… that's a pretty racy low-cut dress for a skating party. Maybe the cat next to her is scowling out of frustration. ;P

I drew a loooooooooot of cats when I was a kid… only children don't have much to do ><
