POP TRAVEL JAPAN GOTHIC LOLITA TOUR ADDS HOSTS: ANGELIC PRETTY DESIGNERS.

Angelic Pretty sweet lolita designers Maki and Asuka, hosting Pop Travel Japan's Gothic Lolita tour of Tokyo.

I previously blogged about Pop Travel Japan’s Gothic-Lolita tour of Tokyo: a week-long dream that includes shopping at every Lolita boutique (Moi-Même-Moitié, Victorian Maiden, Angelic Pretty, h.NAOTO, Innocent World), and tea time at the Alice in Wonderland cafe. Many of you expressed interest – and now, there’s extra incentive to reserve a seat. Pop Japan Travel and Dream Shoppe have roped in Maki and Asuka, the cute designers behind Angelic Pretty (above) to be your shopping buddies for the day!

The Sweet Lolita designers will meet tour guests at the Angelic Pretty boutique in Harajuku’s La Foret department store, and help them pick out the dress, skirt, or accessory that’s right for them. Usually, photography inside La Foret is prohibited, but guests will be able to take pictures of the Angelic Pretty boutique and with Maki and Asuka, provided they make a purchase. (You can read more about the famous department store here.)

The Tokyo Darkside Gothic-Lolita Tour (April 11-18th) costs $1,998 plus a $200 fuel surcharge and departs from Los Angeles International Airport. A land-only package to meet the tour in Tokyo is also available for $1,598. If you want to hang with the Angelic Pretty lovelies, you’d better hurry – applications are due by March 3!

TOKYOPOP BABY THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT / GOTHIC & LOLITA BIBLE CONTEST.

Baby the Stars Shine Bright giveaway by TokyoPop's Gothic & Lolita Bible mook.
TokyoPop has announced yet another fan-tabulous contest to celebrate the English-language release of the Gothic & Lolita Bible (out tomorrow)! Just submit content – surveys, letters, photos, drawings – and you’ve got a shot at publication or a dreamy prize from Baby, the Stars Shine Bright!

Got you all worked up, right? Well, my face fell when I read that prizes will be awarded at random; how could I function without the merit system? And these goodies are less than impressive. Sure, you can win something from Alice and the Pirates – but it’s either a $3 postcard or a $1 sticker.

But hey, a “cake roll” washcloth (the third place prize) is better than nothing, I suppose. The contest runs from February 1 to March 15, 2008. You can view the instructions on TokyoPop’s website. Don’t forget to include the Submission Form and follow the Official Rules. Bonne chance.
