BLABLAHOSPITAL & ZOESTYLES AT KERA SHOP, NEW MARUI ONE SHINJUKU DEPARTMENT STORE IN TOKYO JAPAN.

Might you recall the blood-smeared invite to Blablahospital meet-and-greet at MaruiOne’s Kera Shop? I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get a personal check-up from Ako, especially after exchanging multiple emails with her. (Which goes back to yesterday’s post: I saw her designs, she saw my blog and WHAM – connection!)

Ako (the girl in red) is unbelievably fun and friendly! (We’re planning to collaborate, perhaps on some videos…) Her new designs include these adorable nurse hats and cross-shaped necklaces with googly eyes.

Ako said she’d introduce me to “a funny guy”: Takada-san, the designer of ZoeStyles (a mod outerwear brand also sold at Kera Shop). I expected a stand-up comedian, but nooo – Takeda-san is “funny” in the sense that he wears a giant hair-clip and slinks around like a shy child!

It beats me that people are scared of hospitals – I’d have a check up a this bloody clinic any day! You can see Ako’s latest Guro-Lolita-Punk designs on the Blablahospital website and MySpace, and buy them online through Tokyomade.

What’s this? An adorable Astroboy money bank? And it could be yours! Help me get the word out on Basil Farrow’s new kitty blog (https://lacarmina.com/basilfarrow) and you can win this nifty gift. Leave a comment telling me what you did (emailed friends, Twittered, posted on a forum, etc) and Astroboy could be on your desk. And keep looking for my baby on J-List; all the info about the treasure hunt is found here.
Coming up: photos of cosplayers on Jingubashi Bridge (Harajuku), and snaps of every floor of the new MaruiOne!
Song of the Day #113: Roisin Murphy – Dear Miami (Ronan and I are Roisin fanatics, and this is the soundtrack of our son’s new video.)

Oh goodness! The Happy Phantom, Lady Yukiro Dravarious and I had a Goth slumber party. What did it entail? Red wine, ghoulish dress-up… and a lot of video-making. The J-Goth Club instruction video is still being edited, but for now, you can laugh at our drunken out-takes… CUT CUT CUT!
In this vid, The Happy Phantom gives La Carmina a lesson in classic Edward D. Wood films. Have you seen any of his B-horror movies or the Tim Burton biopic? Here’s the link to the 5-disc Ed Wood Collection that we recommend.
Song of the Day #111: Sopor Aeternus – We Have A Dog To Exercise (I play this song over and over!!)
