MANGA ANIME FANS & VENDORS AT ANI-JAM, CALIFORNIA. JAPAN TOURISM BOARD GIVING FREE PLANE TICKETS TO TOKYO?
So far, I’ve only blogged about Day 1 of our Ani-Jam Convention appearance (as Guests of Honor). Let’s continue with the second day’s adventures. (My hair’s purple now; these photos are from August.)

The vendor’s area was bursting with colorful cosplayers. Can you identify these characters?

I gave over a hundred autographs that day.
We signed some unusual objects, including this mask.
All of Ani-Jam’s guests doodled on a T-shirt. Seba and I both drew cats. You can probably recognize Basil Farrow.
Seba’s panel was a bit of a Sebastrophe… but in the best way possible!
I interviewed him, and we showed photos of our collaborations such as the Soho Hearts panda bear necklace to benefit Japan.
Someone brought our NOH8 photo for us to sign.
Another brought a bunny bag.
In addition to signing his name, Seba drew pictures of me. My cat isn’t that fat, is he?

My reason to go to Japan would to be to party with Yukiro but I’ll come up with some other reasons before the contest lol (seriously there are other reasons, but what tops partying with Yukiro?)

I’m really hoping that tourism boost gets the OK. I would LOVE the opportunity to finally go to Japan and I think this would be the perfect chance. I want to do absolutely everything from gawking over all the fashion on Tekshita Doori to strolling down the tree-lined temple path.

If only I could inch out all the other people and be the lucky few to visit japan. I got some Japanese friends over in Tokyo plus I wanna see an idol show.
I have never been there so that should a reason for them to give me my damn trip. XD That should a prerequisite!

I was in Tokyo last year for my birthday in April. It´s the most amazing city I have ever been to and the Japanese people are so friendly and helpful. I love the whole Kawai culture, I love Hello Kitty and all the amazing gadget/electronics shops. The metro and the streets felt really safe to walk around as a single girl. This just doesn´t happen in other cities – I would get mugged and raped! I want to return to the cat cafés, see the Sakura bloom in April again, meet my friend Ayumi (who now has a baby I haven´t met yet!) and go shopping in Harajuku and Akihabara and other places.
Tokyo always pops up in my dreams and it´s been many nights that I have been back there in spirit, but I would love to go again for real.
So…. GIMME A FREE TICKET, sssuckers! ;)

I hope I can see you sometime in any convention, I’d like a pic with you haha xD And well I’d return to Japan (I went in 2009) to finish my Japanese studies and work as an English teacher o_o… maybe, of course I’d love to travel around Japan, I only visited Tokyo and Kyoto, there’s so much I could do! I hope this opportunity really happens!! :D
