FUEL TV, STRANGERS IN DANGER: JAPAN EPISODE. BMX CATFISH & ROOFTOP GET FOREHEAD SALINE INJECTIONS, DONUT HEADS.
I recently appeared on Strangers in Danger, a new travel-thrill program airing on Fuel TV, Discovery and National Geographic. We Pirates fixed (location-scouted and arranged) the Japan episode, and I’m on-screen as the subculture guide — a.k.a. “Hot Goth.”
You can see the video on my YouTube, but first, read on for astonishing photos!
Rooftop (Mike Escamilla) was a fan of my tiny sailor costume, gifted from Lip Service. (You may recognize him as Kat von D’s roommate on LA Ink.)
Goofing off with Catfish (Zach Yankush). Both of the guys are BMX (bicycle motorcross/extreme biking) stars and very chill in person.
In this segment, they took part in an extreme body modification. Since my Pirates company is well-connected with the Japanese underground, we were able to arrange this scene.
Extreme body mods include implants underneath the skin. One has a painful-looking “split” in a male body part that I dare not mention…
The guys got one of the most bizarre procedures: forehead inflation! A saline drip through a needle creates a bulge, and the center is pushed in to create a donut shape. Catfish also pumped up his lip, which made him look like a dolphin.
Watch the eerie process (featuring me) above and on YouTube.
The bulge lasts about 10 hours. You can see more photos of saline head inflation from my French TV show shoot.
I took Catfish and Rooftop to Decadance Bar, where they fit in among the space aliens.
Adrien le Danois feels the squishy donut.
Naomi, “I am Sebastian” and I fixed (arranged) the entire Japan episode of Strangers in Danger, which involved various crazy activities. The Tokyo drifting scene was a riot.
Drifters are an intriguing subculture as well.
They also learned Sumo fighting, and battled with the big guy.
Come see a wild clip of my scenes. Special shout-outs to Naomi and Sebastian for their incredible Pirate work on this mission.
Have you heard of donut-head inflation? What do you think of extreme body modifications such as this? Would you try?

That saline stuff looks creepy.. If it could shape my face to be more flatter.. then perhaps… but maybe not..
They should have some kind of ‘squeeky’, so when the face-palm their forehead it sueeks!
so funny
LOL
Ugh, It look horrible to have done ~ and really strange to look at. They were really brave to do it.

It looked so painful when the man was pushing at that guys head! >w<
I really really love Japan and lots of the things that they are doing, but I think these donut heads are just creepy as hell! Just thinking about it gives me nightmares… I would never do it and I hope I’ll never meet one of those guys who do it… just scary, scary, scary as hell! T-T
hahah yeah!
I recognize him from BMX competitions. LOL
Hi Carmina. How are you? Well I hope. Just thought I would say that you are very beautiful.
excellent post! u’ve done really nice job!! thanks a lot for sharing with us.
The donut lumps look creepy, not at all nice. Those guys were very brave to go through with that! Things like the ear stretchers are quite common now, and depending on how they’re done, can look really good or just weird. When I was at college, one of the art lecturers had a carved conical sea-shell through his ear, and that looked pretty amazing. The corset lacing on her back looks like it would tug painfully, but other than that doesn’t look ugly. The things done with what looks like needles through the skin does not look nice! Eek. I don’t like needles! >.<
The sumo wrestling looks daunting! I bet they had fun doing that though :) What are Japanese drifters?
If I didn't have to worry about work, my appearance would be drastically difference – I'd have more piercings, tattoos and I'd get fang veneers on my teeth like Adora Batbrat. I'm going to get some very realistic removable fangs as soon as I have a decent amount of money – they're made like dentures to fit over your existing teeth and look completely convincing. I'd also shave the sides of my head and grow a death-hawk. I hear there's a trend in Japan of having things done to the teeth to deliberately make them look crowded? Is this true? It seems really weird to me, seeing I had nasty braces and teeth pulled to get my crooked, crowded teeth made straight! Are you going to report on that?
haha yeah, I Tweeted about that a while back… the look is called ‘yaeba’. Part of the appeal may be that it makes the girls look young, like their teeth are still growing in… >_<
PS drifters – like Tokyo Drift – car racing
How funny and interesting to see these Japanese episode . admirable post you have shared here .
