LAFORET DEPARTMENT STORE, HARAJUKU: WHERE TO BUY JAPANESE GOTHIC LOLITA PUNK CLOTHING, TOKYO FASHION.
Dunh-nuh-nuh-nuh Batman! This season, the superhero insignia was all over Harajuku (the Tokyo neighborhood for alternative street fashion).
What else was in mode? Let’s tour Laforet, the Harajuku department store, and find out.
God bless Putumayo. The punk and Clockwork Orange designs remain on-point.
Plastic Tree’s clothing collaboration was not very impressive…
But h.NAOTO Sixh and Frill (Lolita-style) are as gorgeous as ever.
Can’t go wrong with a black/white color palette.
These days, I’m preferring Lolita-accents to full-out frills. I’d wear the polka dot and playing card coordinate.
Cute ghosts never go out of style. Especially when they wear top hats and stick out their tongues.
Malko Malka’s googly-eyes and heart patches are the definition of spooky-kawaii.
Polka dots were also prominent in the World Wide Love boutique.
I leave you with a photo of Seba in his usual mode — distracted! His bag is by Dolce and Gabbana.
What caught your eye at Laforet? Has your style changed over the years? If so, how?

“I would wear the Sixh and Frill ~ especially if it can fit this 2L body.
I’ll take h. Naoto for a $1000 Alex.
I like the shirts with the stripes and silly faces on them… and Clockwork Orange-like styles. Yeah, I think it’s changed a lot. I’m not too into frills but I think girls who wear them look cute :3
cute faces forever!
Oh, and give me the two outfits next to the mannequin wearing the polka-dotted socks ^^
i loved ur videos and they look so cool too , i love japanese fashion is awesome and i love gothic fashion too is so unique.
thanks!
when i head to Tokyo next Jan. I will visit these place.
Great work once again covering ‘hard-to-cover-no-open-photography-allowed’ Laforet!
Hmm the pieces don’t disappoint, but I feel that this time round they don’t impress either. The black and white ensemble gives the impression that these designers are resting on their laurels since they know they will always have a steady supply of jourens regardless.
Did you buy anything?
I bought the bone necklace in this post – http://lacarmina.com/2011/08/tokyo-japan-goth-alternative-fetish-clubs-nightlife-events-tokyo-decadance-bar-midnight-mess-dance-party/
Love that Batman outfit. That was really cool:
Oooh! I love that white ensemble! I don’t get to wear much white — it might be fun in a lolita style. :) But first, I need a white corset, because I have a cinch-addiction! :P
Mmmm me too :)

I think you would just love my jewelry line.
I do a lot of big eyed miniature oil paintings to wear as necklaces.
Your style is amazing!
Oh! I love to go to that store. I might find a perfect gift for myself. The white dress is so cute.
Yay!
