† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
I sort of rolled into the scene quite suddenly; in a moment of weirdness I decided to buy my first Lolita dress and that’s how it happened. A month later I met some people who have their own Lolita clothing brand and I named myself their biggest fan. Three years later I’m still going strong.
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
The overwhelming beauty of it. It’s not just the clothing, but also all the little things. It’s more about being beautiful yourself.
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
First of all, Gojira, the little studio nearby. Baby the stars shine bright, Angelic Pretty and Vivienne Westwood.
† Any other comments (inspiration, tips, favorites)?
Let nothing ever stop you from having fun.
Film of the Week #29: Plan Nine from Outer Space (dir. Edward D. Wood Jr, starring Bela Lugosi, Vampira). You can follow me on Twitter for up-to-the-second updates: I’ve whirled through the Marui One sale, BAAL Goth party, Gackt concert… and my spooks and I did an all-night movie shoot. Wait until you see it… “glamour! horror! psychological insanity!” In other words, it’s a Z-movie version of Ed Wood’s Plan Nine from Outer Space, full of camp and monsters and blatant editing errors. Plan 9 from Outer Space- voted the worst film of all time. I am extremely proud to say that my father had to opportunity to do some work with the film back in the 70's. Too bad I wasn't old enough to have any memories of my own regarding that, just what my dad told me!
