GOTHIC GIRL PAINTING OF LA CARMINA BY DIENZO: VAMPIRE ART EXHIBIT POSTER, DRIPPING BLOODY FINGERS.
She arrived at my door today, with rabid eyes and fangs hungry for flesh…
It’s the painting Dienzo made of me for his recent art exhibit at Hyaena Gallery! How charming: the 12 x 12″ work was secured in sushi packing tape. Basil Farrow immediately turned the big box into his new clubhouse.
What can I say? The painting is masterfully executed and captures the essence of me (according to my mother!).
Here’s something you don’t often see – the back of a painting, autographed by Rick “Dienzo” Blanco. Did any of you manage to see the painting at the Los Angeles exhibit? What did you think of the collection?
Tomorrow: La Carmina + Marilyn Manson = a devilish giveaway!
Song of the Day #138: Men Without Hats – Safety Dance (do the safety dance!)

I went to the gallery show. Hyaena is one of my favorite stores in Los Angeles and conveniently down the street from where I work. I frequent that spot when I need a boost to my day as it has some of the most unique dark art and true crime collectibles a girl could ask for. The show was incredible. I bought 4 prints! None of them were yours though. :( They didn't have any mini ones in that style. Sedusa was my favorite painting, displayed in the Ung Drill gothic/baroque frame from Ikea. A masterpiece to see in person. Her medusa hair was so subtle that you couldn't tell the tendrils were snakes until you were right in front of the piece. A wonderful evening enjoyed by many. :) You have to check the place out next time you're in LA!
