OTANJOUBI OMEDETOU LA CARMINA BLOG! TOKYO WEIRD THEME RESTAURANTS BOOKS ARRIVE.

I spent a good chunk of the last four months in Tokyo. The Gackt concert in Saitama rocked my socks off (and the screaming girls nearly destroyed my eardrums!). I photographed teen Lolitas outside the stadium, marveled at the Gackt-o cosplayers and merchandise, and filmed a hilarious concert review with Sebastien while dressed in a skimpy maid outfit. What a trip.

Moi dix Mois concert, live footage, Mana sama performing in Tokyo, Ebisu, liquidroom, visual kei stars without makeup, cosplayers, j-rock fashion hair and makeup

A week later, I went to worship at the altar of Mana-sama at Moi dix Moi’s concert in Ebisu. The cosplayers were magnificent, and props to all the girls who wore full EGL outfits in the sweltering heat. Once again, we shot a doki-doki movie that sums up the live experience.

world's most extreme weirdest restaurants, Japanese strange maid cafes, dining experiences, theme restaurants, punishment school teachers cosplay, Tokyo Japan strangest coolest eating out, book by La Carmina, Crazy wacky theme restaurants Tokyo.

Where are we now? My new book, Crazy Wacky Theme Restaurants: Tokyo is now out! Ten copies arrived at my door and the quality is phenomenal. If you’re a picky design addict like me, you won’t be disappointed at the photo, layout and printing. Those interested in ordering, click here.

Mercury Retrograde periods are not BS hun.Mercury appears retrograde from perspective of Earths orbit, and, from a metaphysical standpoint,it indeed DOES affect communications and travel, and computer function.I've studied magick and astrology since age 11.Its no fallacy dear!I've seen it for myself.

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm thinking more of the people who get scared out of their wits through the power of suggestion… this Donna Cunningham article is pretty reasonable, I think. http://ezinearticles.com/?Whos-Afraid-of-Mercur

The metaphysical has nothing to do with communications, or technology of any kind.

“Studying” subjects, which many consider fake, since you were 11 (how would an eleven year-old go about studying those, anyways?) does not prove your point or make it more credible.

Sorry to pop your patronizing bubble ^^

(Also, “magic” does not have a pretentious “k” in it. Ever.)

Congratulations on your books and your anniversary, La Carmina. Thank you for continuing to provide us with a window (one with frilly curtains) into the world of Lolita, Visual-Kei, and cute cooking ^^

Now you're blogging my style! ;) I think astrology does have very realistic implications, apart from simply a device for self-reflection, but you are right that in no matter what things may influence you, it is the self that governs individual reality through actions, and that whining about what circumstances may befall us is going to get us nowhere. After all, things do not happen to us in life, we happen to them. I also agree with you that people are most likely projecting when it comes to blaming communication errors on Mercury. Astrology cannot be tested and proven usually because it depends on the individual's own analysis of their existence, but in a case where something as objective as communications is the object of the conversation, real data can be collected as you mentioned, basically disproving such a conjecture.

Happy birthday to the blog, also! I'll leave it at that since I already gave my extended hurrah ;)

I enjoy reading your thoughts on your blog! I think people are too passive in the face of influences (and I’ve been guilty of this in the past). I’d rather err on the side of skepticism or play devil’s advocate before leaping onto any bandwagon. :)

Thanks for the bday wishes again!

Hi sweetie! How strange — the Email and Share links work on my computer… I tested them on Chrome and IE. The plugin is Sociable for WordPress. Perhaps there was a glitch earlier on? I hope it works now — please let me know if it doesn't.

    And thanks for your support!!

The one thing that REALLY makes me mad is beauty ideals and the way they're shoved down our throats. It can't be a “genetic” problem that I've known 3 causes of anorexia – personally. If we count friends of friends, there are about twice as many.
I even made a blog about it recently, because it just bothers me that much every time I hear a friend call herself “ugly”, every time I watch a L'oreal commercial and every time I turn on the TV in general. We don't live in the victorian era, the most important virtue of a woman is not her stunning good looks! And who defines beauty anyway?
When you've had the beauty discussion with an anorexic, you really realize how messed up it is..

Ah, that’s a pet peeve of mine too. I’ve found that some men are just as self-conscious about their looks. Many men, actually!

That’s why I love alternative style: it challenges expectations about beauty. Unconventional looks can be equally compelling: pale Gothic skin, neon Cyber dreads, feathered eyelashes, different body types.
