GOTH MAD HATTER TEA PARTY VIDEO: TOKYO VICTORIAN DOLLS CAFE, COSPLAY & CROSSDRESSING.
A very merry unbirthday to you – and you! The Mad Hatter hosted a bloody tea party at Milk Crown Cafe in Wonderland (aka Tokyo). All the cosplay zaniness is captured in this new video.
In case it’s not clear – at the beginning, Goth Alice (La Carmina) thinks she found the magical makeup remover that the Mad Hatter possesses. Tragedy: she bought the wrong product!
Here’s a closeup of my new Putumayo White Rabbit watch (only $38). My Lolita dress and jacket are Metamorphose temps de fille. And the BEST PART of the video is at 3:00 – “I am Sebastien!”
At 5:15, we give a shout-out to Mia Farrow (Basil Farrow’s grandma), who is on a hunger strike for Darfur. Please support her by visiting her blog and leaving a note of support on her YouTube.
Annnnnd the Mad Hatter and friends would love to hear from you! Do leave us comments, and we’ll reply in character.
Song of the Day #105: The Unbirthday Song from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland.

You have no idea! This makeup remover is MAGICAL. One wipe and everything comes right off! We scoured every convenience store and couldn’t find it… ahhh!

Ahhh, you guys are so cool! I want to join your tea party! <3
Really, watching that made me want to don a petticoat myself.
The Mad Hatter's shoes were pretty nifty, and really, you all looked great!

I believe it was his first chance to wear those shoes at an event!
You’re always welcome to Mad Tea!
Just tell me when and where!
(i actually will be in Japan soon XD )
Yuk is so friggen adorable!
I have the same teapot, which I got at my local goth tea-house (Witches Brew) and imports them in from Japan. I wish I could say the name of the maker, but the care directions which had been getting in my way all week seem to have vanished… (unless a lot of people make cast iron personal size teapots with studded tops in Japan)
Anyway it looks like a great time, when you're in NYC we must do tea!
That's so cool about the teapot. I don't think I've ever been to a Goth teahouse!

We've got a bizarre little teahouse, its defiantly a little campy or over the top (example, its menu is written like a ransom note with letters clipped out). Here is one of the few decent photos i've found http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_3mdAYA5AtFY/SSOyh-ud3… .
As for the teapot… it looks like either a Black Hobnail or a Hira. Mine is from Nanbu Iron Studio / Roji Associates. Had trouble finding their website, but there are stores like http://www.sensationalteas.com/tetsubinroom2.html which sell them. I don't know how unique these teapot styles are, there could be dozens who make similar for all I know. Just thought it strange to see such a similar pot.
The first link in my last post apparently was rejected by myspace as spam O_o, maybe a link to flickr photos of it will work. If not I'll just take my camrea with me and post some in my own blog ^^
Hope this works http://www.flickr.com/photos/bottleofblues/3042… (afore mentioned tea house)
The second photo works. Looks like a bloody awesome atmosphere! Heart tea houses.
The Mad Hatters shoes are incredible…….
and Sebastien's nose!!!
I ALWAYS WANT YOUR HAIR Carmina!!!!!!
There should be a hybrid uber-mensch with my hair, Mad Hatter's shoes, Seb's nose… Yukiro's nails?

Mad Hatter; It was the first time to wear those shoes in context. So happy to have tea with La Carmina, Shame Basil 'RathFolds' Yuen wasn't there to enjoy it with us. I believe he was dancing the mock turtle with The Cheshire Cat.
For more La Carmina check out this oddity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaTpNvTYuRc

Ah, very interesting! Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us!
I must confess….I’ve never seen an Ed Wood film. *gasp!* That’s got me interested though. And I agree with you about “SJP.”
I recently re-watched Burton’s “Ed Wood.” SO GOOD – and reminds me of our little spooky crew here!
Hey, La Carmina, is it ok if I e-mail you some questions about clubs in Japan (wasn’t sure if your e-mail is meant just for ‘official business’)?
I checked out your guide, but I’m still feeling pretty lost. I’m a total n00b when it comes to ‘nightcrawling’ period (hooray small town life?), but what I’ve seen on here has me interested.
There’s a video soon to be posted, which explains in great detail how to get to Midnight Mess. :)
Feel free to email me any time! gothiccarmina@gmail.com
Ah, ok! I’ll wait for the video, then see if I have any questions. Thanks!
