JAPANESE GOTH BOOK RELEASE PARTY, MEET BLABLAHOSPITAL NURSE AT KERA SHOP ARENA IN MARUI ONE SHINJUKU.
If you’re in Paris on April 25th, mark a giant X on your calendar. Tiffany Godoy, co-author of upcoming book Japanese Goth, will be appearing at Colette from 17:00 to 18:00 to sign copies of her book. Prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed Goth-Lolita-Punx – so put on your finest undead frills and say hello for me!
(I have an advance copy of the book and it’s amazing. Soon, I’ll post a review and interview with Tiffany!)
Tokyo spooks! Circle April 25th on your datebooks. Blablahospital head nurse (aka designer) Akari will be at Kera Shop Arena in the new Marui One Shinjuku from 13:00 to 17:00. There will be a new stock of her guro-punk clothing; she says, “I will be happy to see my patients if they are around!” Zoestyles designer Mr. Takada (a very funny guy) will also be at Kera Shop Arena.
Akari made a special invitation just for us! She writes, “Blablanurse is looking forward to seeing you!”
Song of the Day #95: Journey – Someday Love Will Find You (this is stuck in my head after watching Yes Man on the plane ride to Tokyo!)

How neat! The letter is really cute. It's interesting/cool that the 'hospital' theme applies to things outside the clothes (like the references to patients).
Oooh, the plane ride to Tokyo. How do you cope with such a long flight? 15 or so hours seems like quite the thing to endure (but worth it). Next month will be the first time I've been on a plane for that long, and…part of me isn't really looking forward to it. (^_^)'

Ai-yah, I used to spend 20+ hours on the plane to Hong Kong… New Haven was terrible too; I’d have to change flights and then ride on a bus for an hour. In comparison, Tokyo isn’t so bad! I only bring Japanese language books on the flight, so I’m forced to review. :)
Yay, Tokyo again! Can't wait to see pictures from all the events. If you ever come around Osaka, make sure to say hello to the funny Atelier Pierrot store clerk! Osaka has a pretty big variety of gothic lolita punk stores as well – Amerikamura is lovely!
I miss Japan… all I have left now is expensive Danish custom duties… xD
I've never been to Osaka! Did you visit DJ Taiki's occult store or go to his Midnight Necropolis event while you were there?
Next time, I'll have to go…

I’m not even sure what that is – do you have a link? I’m sure that would have been awesome!
Osaka was amazing, Amerikamura has a great feel to it – you should definitely go sometime!
The stores are relatively close to eachother and the streets are very charming and not too crowded, which makes it all the more fun to find all the small shops. ^^

Ah how I wish I could go to these events! *adds to her dreams*
Oh thank you for reminding me! I must snag a copy of Ms. Godoy's new book once I can….you got an advanced copy? Lucky! Sorry if I'm a nerd but I must ask, how was Versailles Philharmonic Quintet incorporated into the book? Did it have a lot of pictures?

It is filled with glorious pictures! Versailles represents the Visual Kei/musical manifestation of the Japanese Gothic subculture. :)
