GOTHLOLI OF THE WEEK #35: KELLY.
† Name/URL: Kelly
† Age: 18
† Location: Springfield, Missouri, USA.
† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
I became interested in Malice Mizer through friends, and I immediately took a certain liking to Mana-Sama. He was my gateway into the world of Lolita fashion!
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
I love how beautifully and intricately the clothing is rendered, and the fact that it is all-around adorable! The empasis of a certain innocence definetely reflects my personality.
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
Mary Magdalene, Moi-Même Moitié, Victorian Maiden.
† Any other comments?
The beauty is not in what you wear (however adorable it may be), it is in who you are! So go out and be the best that you can! ^^

GOTHLOLI OF THE WEEK #34: MARY.
† Name/URL: Mary
† Age: 18
† Location: Sydney, Australia.
† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
To be perfectly honest I can’t really remember, it was probably just the natural progression… As I became interested in anime, I got into manga, then from manga into jrock… then from jrock into Japanese fashion.
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
I’ve always been one who’s fascinated with all the beautiful things in life. Lolita for me, is my way of transforming myself into something elegant, elaborate and unique (especially in my part of the world). It is basically a way to feed my obsession with the wonderful and pretty. I also love all those activities associated with a lolita, such as embroidary, art, music, reading, it suits me very much.
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
My favourite is Angelic Pretty and Baby the Stars Shine Bright, which makes sense, since I’m a sweet lolita. But I also have a soft spot for Victorian Maiden and Mary Magdalene. :)
† Any other comments?
Um, basically I would just advise never to be afraid or influenced by people who are closed minded and dull. You should wear lolita for yourself; for what you stand for, believe in and LOVE.
