Wahh! Happy birthday to fellow Scottish Fold, Blue! Karri Northrop, “lover of all things goth and cats with no ears,” sent in the photos above. She says, “Blue is the best pet I could ever ask for and I am teaching him how to sit and lay down, it’s crazy! I have you and Basil to thank yet again for introducing me to the wonderful playful world of Scottish Folds.”

“Blue”…
- Is secretly an owl in a cat suit but you can still see his owl eyes :-)
- Can do tricks like sit and lay down if you promise him his favorite treat
- He meows a lot with his mouth closed so it sounds like he’s humming like a “Mehhhhhhummmm”
- He likes to sneak attack his brother, “Lucas” the pug and wrestle with him and after they fight he licks and cleans Lucas’ face. There are videos of this on YouTube.

Scottish Folds are the most beautiful cat breed! Michele H sent in these photos of her two fold-eared cats, which came from different breeders.

She writes: “The blue cream tabby is Lil Smokie. She was born in January, 2010 in southern California. She had a very hard time adjusting to William but they are good friends now. Smokie is a beautiful cat and she likes to ham it up for the camera.” (Sounds like Basil Farrow, who loves to pose!)

“My lilac baby is William Wallace. He was born July 2, 2010 in San Francisco. His mother came to the U.S. from England, via Russia. William is a very good baby. He doesn’t meow – he squeeks.” (Basil always ways wahhh and eee as well!)

Wahh! Lily from Germany sent me these photos of her Scottish Fold baby, named Donnatella.

“She’s a purebred with the color light lilac. She turned one year old last June 6th.”

“She is also one round-faced baby.”

Unlike Basil Farrow, Donnatella can sit with both paws tucked under her! (Basil’s feet are too short and sideways…)

I love her solid light grey (lilac) color and tiger-striped tail.

Every single cat cafe in Tokyo has at least one Scottish Fold… they’re extremely popular! This grey and white fold-eared kitty lives in the “cat petting zoo” on the top floor of Tokyu Hands Ikebukuro.

He wears a pretty heart necklace. Basil Farrow has no neck, so he can’t wear any sort of collar!

This fold also has long antenna coming out of his forehead…

He’s cute, but nobody is as round and earless as Basil Farrow.

Still, the Japanese girls were squealing over him!

Wahh, I have a young Scottish Fold friend with foldy ears! His mommy, Heidi Bluegirl, writes: “Sir Roslin is almost 10 months old and came to me from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He is a red tabby long hair pure bred scottish fold. I have one other 12 year old cat name Merlin who is a black polydactyl.”

Just like me, Roslin likes to climb on his mommy’s laptop when she’s working.

And lying upside down… that’s a Scottish Fold trademark!
